Fundraising Continues Thru October

51 Cyclists Participate on Team Merritt's Way

-TextLess Live More is thrilled to announce that Team Merritt’s Way has raised over $100,000 through the 2018 Rodman Ride to help fund initiatives to end distracted driving. We are inspired by the hard work of our largest team ever (51 cyclists!) and excited to continue working together towards our ultimate goal to end distracted driving and save lives.

-Funds raised from Team Merritt’s Way have a direct impact on TextLess Live More’s national education and advocacy efforts to end distracted driving and make hands-free legislation a reality in more states over the next 12 months.

-The Georgia’s Hands Free Act, recognized by The Levitan Family and TextLess Live More by a press conference at the Georgia State Capitol on July 2, 2018, exactly five years to the day a distracted driving accident killed Merritt Levitan, is already saving lives.

-Recent numbers following the Hands-Free Georgia Act show that 2018 year-to-date fatalities in Georgia due to distracted driving are down by almost 11%.

-“We are empowered by and grateful for the presence, enthusiasm, spirit and time commitment by this year's Merritt’s Way Team of 51 cyclists - our largest team ever! These passionate riders enabled us to surpass our goal of $100,000 to help end distracted driving permanently and save lives,” says Rich Levitan, who organized Team Merritt’s Way, now in its sixth year.
