GetLiving November is brought to you by Memphis Farmer (West Virginia), and Aarav Varma (Colorado)!
INITIATIVE:
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Giving around the holidays is a great way to close out a year of Living More.
Giving homemade gifts or handwritten cards is a great way to show you care. Giving up your phone for the whole day, or even just a few hours, to spend quality time with your loved ones is another way to GetGiving this December. Remember, your presence is a present.
ACTION:
For GetGiving December, bake and decorate cookies with your friends or family for a fun end-of-year activity.
With your SADD chapter, set up a TLLM-Holiday Cookie table during lunch – students get a cookie for signing the pledge or for giving up their phone for the duration of the lunch period.
You can also focus on making handmade gifts for the holidays. There are many online tutorials for meaningful ideas. Think about the person you’re gifting to – who are they? What are their passions? What do they care about? If you’re not especially crafty, consider donating to a cause that’s important to your loved one.
