Is everyone excited? I know all of us at TextLess Live More sure are! Although we’re all in different places, we’re looking forward to a fun couple of days celebrating ghouls and goblins and ghosts. Here are some examples of our incredible costumes: a dead beauty queen, a colorful clown, and JoJo Siwa.
As we head into tonight and the next couple days, there are a few things to keep in mind besides spooky monsters! It’s important to be safe as you travel to various events, whether it be by car or by broomstick. The end of October is colder and darker -- better for scary stories -- but it does mean we’re heading into Bad Weather Season, a time of year when we should all be extra aware of our driving habits.
October means beautiful leaves, which can cause two problems:
1) People can be distracted by the lovely colors! You may be tempted to take your eyes off the road so as to better gaze upon the lovely autumnal scenes. Fight that urge! Plenty of time to look at nice foliage when you are safely parked.
2) Leaves fall and can become hazardous! Especially when it’s wet outside (which it usually is around Halloween), it’s crucial to be aware of road conditions and distractions.
Distractions can be more than just pretty leaves. As we meet up with friends to celebrate this weekend, please be aware of the many people out on the streets. Lots of people are on their way to celebrate, meaning there are more cars on the road to look out for. Also, many towns will be having their Trick or Treat nights! Since it’s getting dark earlier, let’s all keep an eye out for costume-adorned children who are out in the evening trying to fulfill all their wildest candy dreams.
We hope you all Live More this weekend and have a great time seeing friends and family whilst celebrating the spookiest time of the year. Don’t be in a hurry, take the necessary precautions, think about getting places safely -- we’ll all have a wonderful time!
