Our next Engagement Board introduction is with Aarav!
Meet TLLM Engagement Board member Aarav!
Aarav is a sophomore from Denver, Colorado, and is a first-time member of the Engagement Board. Aarav is involved in so many things, it’s hard to keep track of! Beyond SADD and TLLM, Aarav takes part in volunteering at a hospital, Speech & Debate, Sources of Strength (a club focusing on mental health), and SU Communications Colorado Youth Connect Council. Beyond all of these amazing achievements, Aarav is also in four AP classes at his school – wow!
Outside of all these organizations and volunteering opportunities, Aarav also loves graphic design. Aarav told us he really enjoys “getting to create things”. At one point he was operating nine Instagram accounts at once, all with a different theme. Aarav also played guitar for a while, but hasn’t been able to practice as much recently because of all his commitments.
Aarav got involved with SADD and TLLM because he loves working with people all over the country. He believes that even when things aren’t going well, “each of us have the power to be good and to make things better”. Aarav focuses a lot on how motivation affects people, and puts this idea into his work with us at TextLess Live More. He strongly believes that motivation impacts how we drive, and affects how we use the internet and our phones. By changing the motivation, we can change people’s actions.
Since college is still a little ways off for Aarav, he hasn’t decided where he wants to go or what he wants to study yet. And that’s totally fine! He has lots of time. He did tell us he is interested in engineering, medicine, and graphic design as possible future majors. Knowing Aarav, he will find a way to fit all three fields into his college experience!
Aarav is obviously a very passionate, driven person. He commits fully to all the activities he partakes in, and genuinely cares about doing the best job possible. We think it’s amazing that Aarav has already accomplished so much at such an early age, and we cannot wait to see what else he does!
