Our first TLLM Engagement Board introduction is with Guinevere!
Guinevere is a junior at Putnam High School in Connecticut. A first-time Engagement Board member, Guinevere is involved in a few other super cool activities, like her school’s SADD chapter and Relay for life. Gwen is also the President of her class on her school’s Student Council as well as Co-President of the TextLess Live More Engagement Board! So awesome!
With college a little while away, Guinevere is still deciding what she wants to start off studying. Guinevere is very interested in architecture, but says she’s also considering law because she loves her high school civics class. Gwen would like to start a debate club at her school if possible. Guinevere also mentioned being interested in a career as a nutritionist, or perhaps an aerospace engineer. So many different interests and passions!
Guinevere found out about TextLess Live More through SADD, when her chapter’s advisor reached out and told her to apply to SADD’s Student Leader Council. SADD pointed Guinevere in the direction of TLLM, and we’re so grateful to have her.
We talked for a while with Gwen about her love for the outdoors. The “Live More” aspect of TLLM stands out because of her passion for being outside. She enjoys running, and hopes to hike the Appalachian Trail and the Pacific Crest Trail. Whatever her future career ends up being, Guinevere would love for it to be virtual, enabling her to travel and experience life outdoors as much as possible.
Along with Living More, Guinevere thinks TLLM’s focus on reckless driving is very important, especially since she’s seen some scary situations first-hand. She wants to spread the TextLess Live More message in an accessible way. Guinevere says it is sometimes a challenge to get her peers to care about safe driving, but it is an “exciting challenge.”

When we asked Guinevere what else she would like for people to know about her, she said 1) she’s recently gotten into journaling, 2) her family is really important to her, and 3) Guinevere “likes hanging out with [her] grandma”, and loves going on picnics with her.
