It was a fun-filled day on the historic Buck Hill golf course that culminated in a reception where players, volunteers and sponsors heard from the Levitan Family about TextLess Live More's mission to end distracted driving, and about Merritt, their daughter killed by a distracted driver in July 2013, the inspiration behind the organization. "We are overwhelmed by the community's outpouring of support for TextLess Live More's mission to end distracted driving," said Anna Cheshire Levitan at the reception. "Together, we are going to change behavior around handheld phone use behind-the-wheel to save lives and make roads safer for everyone, here in the Poconos and throughout the United States."

Also in attendance was Pennsylvania State Representative Rosemary Brown, sponsor of the state's hands-free bill, which passed unanimously out of the House Transportation Committee in early June. State Representative Brown spoke about the critical need to pass Hands-Free to make Pennsylvania #21 in the nation with a Hands-Free driving law.

Thanks to the overwhelming support from the Buck Hill Falls and Skytop communities, TextLess Live More exceeded fundraising goals and was a scramble success, setting a high bar for next year's event. The TLLM team is so grateful for the outpouring of enthusiasm from everyone involved and is thrilled to continue the lifesaving work that these funds will allow.
